Author original: Musashi Miyamoto (Miyamoto, 1584 - 19 May 1645) was a japanese soldier,  artist and writer, considered the greatest swordsman in japanese history.

Subject: Musashi has left several literary works, paintings and sculptures attributed to him, how this played in this same Kakejiku symbolizing Musashi (the "Shrike") and his sword (the dead tree). This work is part of the tradition of Zenga, or Zen paintings.
